Hi, I'm Roy Stubbs (ADI 463842)

Born and raised in central London, I relocated to Cornwall over 20 years ago, seeking respite from the hectic city life. My career previously spanned 20 years as an emergency paramedic in London and another 8 in the West Country.

During that period, I completed several advanced driving courses and supervised new ambulance crews navigating emergency calls through London’s bustling streets under blue lights. Bringing that level of calm, precision, and safety to civilian roads became a passion of mine.

My Teaching Philosophy

Choosing the right driving instructor is completely crucial when you decide to learn to drive. I assure you that lessons with me are conducted calmly and patiently. Effective communication skills are vital, a strength I honed in my previous role as a paramedic and have brought directly into my current profession.
