About Me

I was born and grew up in central London moving down to Bude 23 years ago as I was fed up with the big city lifestyle, Bude and North Cornwall is a lovely place to live with the locals being very friendly and welcoming. I worked as a paramedic in London for 20 years and 8 years in the west country. During this time I took and passed several driving courses including supervising new ambulance crews running to emergency calls through the streets of London on blue lights. 7 years ago I decided on a change of career and after undergoing the intensive training qualified as a DVSA approved driving instructor my ADI number is 463842. It was a great feeling when my first pupil whom I had taught from scratch passed her practical driving test a real ‘buzz’ in fact.

When considering learning to drive it is essential that you find an Instructor to suit you. I can assure you that lessons taken with me will be conducted in a calm and patient manner. One of the most important factors here is good communication skills this is something I was very good at in my last job and have carried over into my new career. My objective is at the end of each and every lesson that the pupil should feel learning has taken place in a calm and reassuring atmosphere and they will already be looking forward to their next lesson. Nervous pupils need have no worries as my aim is to encourage pupils throughout their learning experience, building confidence whilst preparing them to drive with a safe and courteous attitude for as long as they drive.
